The face is pure cotton, prewashed so the softness and the relaxed crinkle arrive out of the box, woven into a classic stripe that reads texture rather than pattern. Inside, a cotton and polyester blend fill keeps the quilt lofty but light, and resists clumping through washes.
King and queen sets pack the quilt with two shams. It layers exactly the way a good coverlet should: alone in summer, under or over heavier bedding when the temperature drops, and always the tidy top layer of a made bed.
